2008 Ogunquit Fireworks Announcement

June 4th, 2008

The Village Spirit Committee announced last night at the Business After Hours that the 2008 fireworks have been cancelled.  Unfortunately, after much marketing, they determined that they would not be able to raise the necessary funds.  They have assured us that they will be working on other plans for the July 4th week, such as concerts, etc, and I’m sure they will keep us informed.

Milestone-4/10/08 - Welcoming Spring!!

April 10th, 2008

Despite waiting on a few detail items to finish our lobby project, we are happily open for business at The Milestone! We hope that you all are as anxious for some time away as we are to host your stay.

A lot of hard work, detail and dedication went into to our lobby remodel project and we are proud to say the results have exceeded our expectations. We are still waiting on a few final items, some artwork, end tables, lamps, ect, but the majority of the heavy lifting is complete. I hope you will find the updated photos to your liking and we look forward to seeing you soon!

All looks to be on schedule and we can’t wait to open our doors on April 4th, 2008! We anxiously await your comments and reactions! Hope all are enjoying the last days of winter and wishing a quick return to spring!

Juniper Hill Inn, at your service

February 23rd, 2008

Remember how much fun you had on your last visit to the Ogunquit area…the sun, beaches, pools, Jacuzzis, great food, entertainment, golf, shopping, friendly service and superb accommodations…with the Juniper Hill Inn so convenient to it all!

We remain dedicated to offering you the best value for your dollar.  This commitment is demonstrated by our ongoing improvements.  Some of this winter’s enhancements include Guest rooms in the main building with tiled bathroom floors, new valances, bedspreads, drapes and sheers.  Our towels are being upgraded to a larger, heavier 100% cotton product and superior Comforel pillows replace our standard pillows.  As always, your feedback is important to us.  Based on your comments, handrails were installed at various entrances for improved safety and accessibility.

We also understand that economic conditions can cut into leisure time.  Your leisure time is important, and you shouldn’t have to lose it.  We hope we can help.  This year, from January 1 through May 22, and again from October 19 through December 31, there will be no charge for the 3rd and 4th occupants in a room.  We look forward to welcoming you soon!

Gorges Grant Goes Green

February 19th, 2008

To Our Guests, Both Returning and Soon to Be:

We look forward to seeing you and to providing you with a high quality hotel experience.  Beyond the hotel, we are also committed to providing you a quality experience from an environmental standpoint.  We understand that efforts taken today can have an impact on the future we leave for our children and their children after.  Our commitment to this philosophy was recognized by the Maine Department of Environmental Protection in December 2007 when the Gorges Grant Hotel received certification as an Environmental Leader in the hospitality sector.  The hotel has also been awarded ecomaine’s 2008 eco-Excellence award for our recycling efforts that “set a positive and practical example for others to emulate”.

We hope these efforts will help maintain the beauty of our town and beaches so that you may enjoy them for years to come.
