We had a very unsettling experience at Angelina’s last night. When we arrived promptly at 7 for our confirmed reservation, we were told it would be a 15 minute wait. We stood (no seats available) in the bar for 45 minutes. When we inquired from the manager how much longer of a wait to expect, he became very loud and insulting. The extremely rude reaction of the manager was shocking. He completely over-reacted and told us we would not be eating there that night and crossed our names off the list. We had no choice but to leave. This was unneccesary and extreme. Obviously this restaurant cares nothing about their customers. They overbook knowing that in the summer they will have a full house and show no regard for individual customers. Stay away.

My girlfriend and I had a terrible experience at this place. Unfortunately, it was her birthday and I was taking her out to dinner to celebrate. The food was overpriced, mediocre in quality and the service was slow. To top it off, the owner (David P. Giarusso Jr.) angrily complained that we did not tip his waiter enough, loudly called us cheapskates and caused quite a commotion in front of the other customers and his staff. He completely ruined her birthday dinner. Needless to say, we will never return.

We had dinner at Angelina’s the other night. We were recommened by of our hotel this summer, and now this is our 4th time dining there. We have to say that this is the best Italian food in the area, and we come from Hartford, CT and there are lots of great Italian restaurants. The food and service were both great. My wife had a stuffed chicken breast and I had a steak with sauteed garlic spinach on top. We will continue to go….the staff is wonderful.

My husband and I had dinner with some freinds who live in Ogunquit. They suggested we have dinner at Angelina’s. We went on a Saturday night, Martin Luther King weekend. The place was packed, and we didnt have a reservation. We were asked if we wouldnt mind going to the bar and having a cocktail while we waited and that it would be about 20 mins. We had a great experience with the bartender who was clearly busy but made sure he had time to chat with everyone, and i have to say, he made the best Cosmo i ever had. We were seated 30 mins later and the host was very gracious getting us to a table. I have to agree with one of the comments above about the food being as close to the north end in boston, and they are right. The food was amazing!! We usually go to another Italian restaurant in the area and we were glad they were closed and got to try Angelina’s. I never take time to write a review, but i just cant belive the negative press this restaurant was getting. The service, food quality, cocktails, for us more than met our expectations and we will continue to dine there. I hope your experience was as wonderful as ours and you should most definately give them a try.

Ogunqit is truly a beatiful place. Premier dining is abundant. Therefore, please take my advice and bypass Angelina’s. I didn’t feel compelled to submit negative feedback until seeing the 2 other posted reviews and I must say that our party was also treated with disrepect at Angelina’s. It stemmed from our innocent query regarding some arguably very slow service. What followed was like a bad Saturday Night Live skit but was not very funny. We were called “tourists” (guilty as charged) and told that if we were unsatisfied, that we should just leave. Needless to say, we soon did. We obviouslly will never dine at Angelina’s again and if you wish to keep your vacation stress free, I suggest you do the same.

I can relate to the above comment very well. My wife and I have also dined at this resturant several times. The food is very close to the North End I must admit. We had reservations for 7pm one night and had to cancel at the last minute for a family emergency. My wife called and was told by an employee who would not give his name “it’s a little late to cancel a reservation don’t you think??” and hung up. I called back, and he hung up on me as well. Needless to say it’s the last time we EVER dine at this place!!!

We have dine at Angelina’s quite a few times, I will say the food has been good. On one occasion we had a waiter named John who did not provide service worthy of 20% nor 10% nor 5%, in fact the owner saw us getting a little angry after waiting 35 min. and still no order taken. After dinner when we asked for change from our 100.00 dollar bill John said he was insulted and “told us he didn’t deal in change and to give him a break he was busy.” I contacted the owner David about how we were talked to in front of a patio full of customers and he said he had it with John and I wasn’t the first to complain, in fact he fired him as I was on the other end of the phone and his exact words were “I told you I’m sick and tired on how you handle the customers, I talked to you about this and this is your last time, get out”. Again we have dine there many times since then. Friday night in Oct. we had reservation for 6:45p.m. When we entered the restaurant we noticed John was right in front, we got seated and decided not to spend our hard earned money at Angelina’s after we saw John back there. We got up and left, David came out after us and told us he was the owner and what was the problem, I told him I wasn’t going to spend our hard earned money at a place where we were so insulted by his waiter John, and he said he just started that night, I told him fine, that’s good, but we’re not staying. His comment after that was: and I quote “YOUR A MORRONE” that what we got from the owner. I guess things do roll down hill.
