Beach Plum Farm

beachplumb2.jpg

Beach Plum Farm is the last remnant of an old saltwater farm still existent in Ogunquit.  It’s 22 acres were conserved by Joe Littlefield in 1998 and it is open to the public from 7am to dusk.  The farm is now owned and protected by the Great Works Regional Land Trust and houses its office in the first barn.  The upper field provides community garden plots and the lower field a rich habitat for migrating songbirds and butterflies.  It provides the only unobstructed view of the Ogunquit Dunes from Route 1.

We also own and maintain trails on 171 acres about 5 miles inland called the Orris Falls Conservation Area. This is just northeast of

Mt.

Agamenticus and another great hiking opportunity in our area.FMI: www.gwrlt.org
