I used to love this restaurant and in fact visited every year at least once if not twice. Today, I visited for the second day in a row and ordered both days a pound and three quarters lobster. Yesterday’s lobster was so delicious, I wanted it again. Lo and behold, a smaller lobster comes out and I question the waitress who checks with the kitchen. Yes it weighs a pound and three quarters but it might be because of the body. I eat my very tasteless lobster and ask for the manager. The manager treated me like I was a pain in her butt. I asked her is your kitchen more important or pleasing the customer more important. She didn’t seem to care that I had been there 2 days in a row. She never acknowledged my problem or that there was an issue here. She did take off $3 dollars begrudglingly. I spoke to her on the way out and I said to her I’m not trying to be difficult. I just don’t appreciate paying $40 for lunch and walking away hungry. If you had acknowledged me and offered me dessert or soup, I would have felt like you cared about me as a customer. Instead you made me feel like I was being a pain in your butt. She said why would I give you free dessert if you complain? That said it all. She did apologize but she really didn’t understand that its about customer service not $3 dollars. She also bad mouthed the restaurants in Perkins Cove, Ogunquit saying their food was bad. I like this restaurant but I don’t appreciate being treated this way so if you are looking for good food, go but understand that if something isn’t up to snuff that day, you are the looser cause customer service isn’t their thing.
